A relaxing park to explore without a need to pay for admission. It can get a bit crowded during lunchtime.

A neat escape, and outstanding view of Sendai just a short walk from the Tohoku University campus. Its accessible by car, or you can walk from the Sendai City museum less than 1km away, but there’s likely 250m of climbing in there. The castle grounds have a gift shop, shrine, small museum and such. Can be fully explored in an hour or so, even if you choose the climb and descent from the museum.
Good view off environment. Only parking costs. And a few parts off castel visable.
You can see where it got damaged from a big quake in 2011
Great way to view the city.
なかなかに急勾配な坂道にあります。 徒歩の場合、下りなら良いですが登りはキツそうですね

車で本丸まで通行出来ますが、徒歩で城の石垣や門の跡地など、山城の雰囲気を味わいながらも登ってみるのも良いと思います。
