My life was changed dramatically during my stay at Serenity. The whole staff was amazing, thoughtful, and compassionate. Andy, Sherri, Lynn, Leah, Megan, Reggie, Dee and Cam (just to name a few) are spectacular, along with the rest of the staff. This facility and amazing staff has provided me with the tools and a plan to set me on a better path for my mind, body and soul. I will forever be grateful!

Family member went here for detox in February 2021. After three days detox was complete and patient needed picked up. Confirmed time and day with staff via cell phone/text, as the reception phone is rarely answered and goes to VM even during a weekday, normal business hours. Arranged time, all set. Arrived and waiting in from drive (COVID protocols in place) for 35 minutes, texting the number that confirmed the day earlier that I was there and waiting, what next? Went to locked facility door, with video cameras and push to talk wall box, no luck. Waited an additional 10 minutes, eventually caught someone's eye and she pushed the bar on front door letting me in. I started to talk and she said, "I'll get someone who works here to help you." Sat down waited another 5 minutes or so and a staffer came up and asked how I got in. Explained. Family member was not even pulled from population and I was an hour past by this time. Eventually, patient and belongings came to front, we exited and then it was determined that cell phone was missing. Again to the locked door, pounding for someone to come - 4-5 minutes later someone emerged and eventually phone was found and returned (I think it was held in a different location than luggage, not stolen). Patient did not receive lab results or get to complete the exit questionaire. I doubt that would be a good idea now. They did get patient detoxed, so that task was completed. Trying to get a call into facility was difficult, I finally called the 800 number that is answered in Florida and asked them to send an email to someone in Houston, they kept connecting me to a unanswered phone, that I left several messages on with no call back. Could have been a bad day, but I think it was pretty much business as usual. Locations looks great on-line and in brochure but is poorly maintained and DIRTY in public areas. Security worried me after this, I'm glad there are other options.

This facility is the real deal. The team is compassionate, and will do whatever it takes to support their clients. Houston is so lucky to have Serenity House Detox as a resource!

Serenity House Detox is by far one of the best detox facilities in the state of Texas. Their empathetic, compassionate, and understanding approach fosters a comfortable atmosphere for anyone struggling. This is not the typical fluorescent, clinical, hospital feel you find in most detox centers. The accommodations are comfy and cozy. Perfectly suited for a peaceful and serene start to this often difficult journey. The medical staff is extremely experienced and highly attentive. I would send a family member here in a heartbeat! Do not hesitate to reach out to them if you or a loved one are struggling!

This place is not the place to go if you’re trying to get clean. At first I had a good impression because one of the staff and I had a mutual interest which was the artist on my jacket. Everything went downhill once they started treating me like I was in jail. They even got mad at me for cussing. I obviously came in there high and with drugs so I took my last of my drugs inside and the most rude person named “Michelle” yelled “he just took pills”. I guess she saw it on a camera and then they started searching me without my permission. I hadn’t even checked in at this point. Michelle was talking to my family outside and while two men were with me interrogating me because I took pills. What do they think they’re going to get out that? It’s a detox center. Then in all they didn’t allow me into their center. Once I experience their hospitality I realized I didn’t even want to stay at this place. To anyone that is irritable, sensitive, likes their space, wants nice space etc. DO NOT GO HERE. Out of the five staff I met there was only person that I didn’t have a problem with and coincidentally it was the male who searched me. Michelle should not be employed their. Somebody goes their for help and then is not allowed at their center. What kind of place is this?
