Poor costumer service. Cancelled our appointment without any warning (they said they called twice and one time we didn't pick up and another it went to voice mail but they didn't bother to leave an SMS or voice message). All the information was given by the door security and no one could explain properly how to proceed to request a stay permit renewal.
The worst place in Portugal at all. Even at home i haven't faced with such people. The most adequate person is a security guard at the reception. At first, the operator refused to declare our entry as we arrived by car (we had documentary evidence). When we said that we would write a complaint, she agreed to register us, but she was offended and gave us a penalty (30 euro per person )for late registration, despite the fact that we have a letter from SEF confirming timely registration. I will definitely give this move through a lawyer as now i have 2 documents - receipt for fine and confirmation that we registered in 3 days.
The most terrible place in Portugal. The staff looks at you with contempt. If they see that you do not know the language, they will discuss you among themselves. They refused to register us - because we arrived by car - they said that according to the law it forbids us to register. They did not want to give any refusal in writing, and a manager even refused to give us her name. After 2 hours of our stay there, when they realized that we were going to write a complaint, they started registering us and gave us an illegal fine. I do not understand why there is so much hatred for all.
Wow... what an experience of people who hate their jobs and take it out on the clients. If you are needing to deal with this service in setubal then plan for an entire day of waiting and take a portuguese lawyer with you that specializes in immigration law so that they can truly apply the law of Portugal and not the opinion of the local clerk in setubal.
