Many pools with varying temperatures to soak in. To be more specific, there are 3 wooden tubs with the best temperature for me (not too hot) to soak and tap a nap if there are not many people. There’s a big shallow pool in the middle of the garden and another pool near the sea. The indoor special pool has many apples in it for that day. I think they have different fruits every day. There’s also a salt scrubbing steam room and sauna. You can spent at least 2 hrs there relaxing.

Awesome experience. Good get away from the main city, bus ride from Okayama city was quite simple and took about 1 hour. Dinner was great, the sushi was only ok. Out door onsen was fabulous. Thank you to the staff and especially the English speaking staff, which made an real effort to explain everything in detail. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Okayama.

Our first onsen experience was a wonderful one! The staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant was delicious and the hot springs pools were heavenly! Right close to the train station, and it was covered on the JR pass. We are in Okayama for the week, so we may have to go do it again.

Best onsen I've been in Japan. Great commodities, lots of small "pools" so you can have your space. Open air onsen is incredible, very beautiful and big. \u003e Tourists: this is Male/Female so couples don't go toghether, you have to be always completely naked onse you enter.

I don't understand all the raving reviews here - it definitely is not and far from the best onsen in Japan as one review put it. The hot springs themselves are great. The salt sauna scrub will leave your skin silky smooth. The outdoor springs are decent if it's your first time. Here's where the problem lies - there is basically no after-spa entertainment/recreation or relaxation facilities. There is a small seating area with reclining chairs and a TV you can watch if you so wish. There will be people snoring so bring your earphones if you are thinking to stay here for longer than 5 minutes. There are not many drinks available either. The after-spa experience is just as important as the hot spring itself. Very disappointing. TIP: For those after a first time onsen experience I would recommend Oedo Onsen Monogatari in Tokyo -if- you are venturing to that side of the country. Otherwise I would say any decent ryokan would be better than this.

Wonderful large facility with outdoor bathing areas. Enthusiastic staff. Only downside was the indoor smoking room, surprisingly still seen in 2018 Japan.

This recently became a tattoo friendly place for foreigners. Just bring your passport and show it at the reception. We had an amazing evening here, unforgettable experience!

This onsen is more of a spa than a traditional onsen. You can tell they want to attract foreigners. I paid 1600 on a weeknight and there were not too many people around. Often times I had the onsen to myself. This is the most I’ve paid for an onsen, but to be honest it was worth the money! Super new facilities. You get 2 towels, spa outfit, all fancy soaps and lotions, water, and comb. There are multiple options for relaxing and lounging including a women’s only room. There is even a salt scrub room where you can use to scrub your skin. Overall it was a super clean and upscale onsen experience. A nice way to treat yourself!
