Grupo Hespérides Biotech S.L. is a technology based company which focuses its activity on the development of innovative food and beverages which are obtained from the biotechnological transformation of basic raw materials (fruits, etc). In 2011, Grupo Hespérides will expand their services, offering quality control analysis on food products based on the detection of pesticide residues (phytosanitary). The company is capable of combining their market knowledge, their view towards the customer and their technology; with the knowledge generated by the university, in order to develop products in cooperation. Grupo Hespérides has expertise in the development of products, such as the first low alcohol beverage (2.5% alc./vol.) through orange juice fermentation. At present, the company is doing research on the evaluation of the potential healthy and functional characteristics of the product.
