Nice OLD resort that needs refurbishing, that Diamond is working on. It will take a while. It had all of the basic necessities including some ants and 1 cockroach.......that they took care of quickly. Dishwasher had holes in bottom of silverware rack allowing utensils to fall through. Patio door needs adjusting. BBQ that was supposed to be in our area, wasn’t. All workers are very pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed our week of swimming in the pools and beach, the lazy river, water slide and wave pool at Grand Mayan resort in Nuevo Vallarta

We had a wonderful time at the Hacienda del Mar. Room is excellent. Service was great. We had one issue with the A/C and it was resolved immediately with no inconvenience for us. The Sanitization was continuous and we felt at ease at all times. We ate at two restaurants and the food was good. The De Cortez was a little pricey but great food. I would recommend this place again.

Because of the low price being offered, I asked the booking agent if we would have to attend a presentation and, with that, proceeded to book -- the reason we didn't want to attend a presentation is we are currently getting out of our timeshare and want nothing more to do with them -- lo and behold, upon checking in, we wee asked to upgrade -- we didn't,t do the upgrade as it was for only one bedroom and we needed two bedrooms as we has two of the great daughters with us and they were told of having their own suite -- we were then told we would have to wait a half hour for our room -- upon walking away from the counter, we were greeted by a SALESMAN who started to give us a sales pitch --told if we attended a hour seminar, we would get a free breakfast; 10% discount card; and two for one breakfast the rest of our stay -- seeing as it was only a hour and with the benefits from attending, we decided to go -- the next morning we were taken to this area to get a full fledged sales pitch before breakfast and then have to attend a 90 min individual presentation -- we proceeded to tell our sales rep our situation and then he stated that we were LIED TO!!!!! With that he went to get his manager to explain the situation, the manager proceeded to give us a sales pitch and we tried to tell him we were not interested -- he continued to push his sales pitch on us and we had to get very verbal about our intention before he decided to not push it any further -- the first salesman felt we still should have gotten the free breakfast of which we didn't get -- he did apologize to us

Very nice room. Clean and well maintained and large. Very nice bath. The club level was very nice with good teas and coffee and a nice exercise room and spa. The staff were extremely friendly. Great location. A wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful resort with excellent customer service. Too much walking from one venue to another and the shuttle service was definitely laking... No communication about what shuttles took you where. (it actually took us an hour to get from our room to the Tramonto restaurant one evening and that was waiting for the appropriate shuttles). My husband had knee surgery and is limited when walking. One shuttle driver refused to allow us on one particular shuttle and had the audacity to suggest that we walk back to another shuttle stop to pick up a different shuttle to our destination. It's a shame that such a wonderful resort with caring employees will limit their exposure because of transportation challenges.

Mayan Palace. One bedroom was very nice. We were the farthest away from everything. Shuttles were ok but then the walk to your destination...ugh! They should let people know that you have to be able to walk up and down inclines. It was very distressing. I would not go again.
