I just had the best experience with Dave “soup” at Shafer Auto Group. No pressure sales. Gave me the facts on the car I was looking at so I could make an informed decision. Was great at keeping it a stress free experience. Worked with Tom in finance and he was a straight shooter, which is appreciated. They are fellow dog lovers so I know they are good people. I recommend this place to others and I hope you have a good experience too!

This is my honest review, I usually do not leave reviews but I had to do this one , I have made several car purchases over the years but my experience at this place has by far been the best , I would give them 10 stars if I could , the entire experience was smooth , fast and straight forward, I traded in my vehicle and was out the door with my new vehicle including test driving in 2hours , it would have been quicker if I didn’t go for my test drive lol . Great team and great car sales man , I worked with the SOUP , yes they call him the SOUP, the SOUP is the plug straight up no BS and straight to the point , I wish all car buying experience and car sales man would be like this , I never felt pressured in any ways , all their vehicles are clean inside out , no issues and they provide you with the car fax , so if you looking for a good reliable vehicle with the quickest car buying experience go to this place and request for THE SOUP , I have never been happier with a vehicle purchase experience. Thanks again SOUP! And thanks to the entire team at SHAFER AUTO GROUP. I’m definitely making any other vehicle purchases in future from this place .

Drove from central Illinois after dealing with salesman (Rick Doyle) on the phone. I gave Rick my information to put a hold on a vehicle I was interested in. They ran my credit online and upon my arrival without my permission! I had informed Rick before making the drive I had financed through my bank and he said it wouldn’t be a problem... until I was standing in the dealership. I was on the phone with my loan officer when the extremely rude and dense finance guy approached me and In my other ear informed me I had to finance through them. Made an agreement on price with Rick before my trip through text and upon my arrival he completely denied it. Hands down the worst business and employees I have ever dealt with. They effected my credit, wasted my money, and had 2k of mine held for 10 days while I waited on a return. Nice try stupid.

I had been searching for a new vehicle in the Midwest area (250 miles radius) for almost 2 months until I came across their posting. I was from out of state and was at first cautious about dealing with people remotely and not seeing the vehicle in person. I had a wonderful experience dealing with all the staff this past week via phone. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated well. They got back to me quickly with my questions. They were flexible since my situation changed. I appreciated their honestly and efficiency. I drove 3 hours to trade and purchase a vehicle. It was great meeting them all in person. It was great seeing them work as a team and not feel pressured. The F150 was a quality vehicle and the process went quick. I was very happy with the overall experience and level of professionalism. I would recommend Shafer Auto group if they have a vehicle you're interested in.

If I could give this dealership more stars I definitely would. They made the buying purchase of my new vehicle completely easy. This is what a car buying process should be like. Even got a chance to meet the owner. Great guy. The sales manager Rick really took great care of me and got me into exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle from this place. You will not regret it.
