After reading many reviews, I was very nervous about booking a week here; however we were pleasantly surprised. As we pulled down the road, you are unfortunately greeted by another campground that looks very run down, but Sea Mist is not like that at all. Carl, the manager, was very helpful getting us checked in, helping us back our rig in, and giving us directions to the beach. It is a very quiet campground, with some sites dedicated to long term, and all were nicely kept up. The bathhouses was very clean, and as someone had mentioned in a previous review that they are locked after dark, but all you need is the code. The laundry room has two washers and dryers, very clean, and the most affordable to date! For it being a smaller campground, it had plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. There are horseshoes, a basketball goal, swings, a very nice pool, a pier for fishing, and a beach area. Our girls had a blast looking for ghost crabs and fiddler crabs, playing in the sand, and fishing. All in all, I highly recommend this campground, especially if you like to fish or want to be close to the beaches at Ocean Isle.

Best place around, staff are friendly and sincere. Bath house is nice and spacious. Private beach is always nice. Always enjoy our stay.

Very nice campground. Mostly permanent setup with a few temporary rental lots. Bath houses available and are extremely clean. Close to Ocean Isle Beach and the town of Shallote, NC offering good shopping.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. Very nice couple of days on the beach. Nice clean pool that wasn't very crowded to our surprise. Hopefully we can schedule another trip soon.
