We have been assisting the rescue communities through adoption days, fundraisers, and connecting adoptive family with healthy animals. In the long term we wish to help improve and set up rescue and adoption protocols through continuous training and education. Background: In Shanghai alone, many animals are abandoned each year by irresponsible pet owners - very few lucky ones ever make it to a family. The past few years we have seen more and more people here show care and concerns for the stray situation. However, there is a general lack of good adopters as more people still lack knowledge of responsible pet ownership. Best Friends China hopes to help people & pets become better companions, that kind-hearted people can work together towards a common goal as a community.
