I had the misfortune of visiting this airport a couple of years ago, when it was very quiet. I don't know if there was work going on but there was nothing open. I flew there on my way to Galway and spent a few hours while waiting for my bus. All I could do was sit and wait. It was handy because there is a bus that takes less than an hour to Galway. Extra star because there was a cool rugby sculpture in the lobby.

Great Airport. Very quiet at the moment due to the covid outbreak around the world. Even under normal traffic its one of best airports in go through.
In and out too many times to count. Thank you for allowing me free and safe passage.
Can't complain about Shannon Airport. Functional, does the job. Great parking. What more could you want..
Nice little airport with duty free, WH Smith pub/bar, couple of other eat places and a private lounge. Wasn’t busy on a Saturday afternoon so plenty of seats and charging points to find.
Regretfully underused due to Covid restrictions at present.Fabulous modern facility which could be worldwide cargo hub with ready to use cargo and freight ware houses readily available practically alongside one of longest runways in Europe and can take the largest transport aircraft produced.
Very quiet at present. But normally a great place.
