We stumbled across this wonderful winery, when visiting the battlefield a couple years ago. Esp since 2020 ... their outdoor live music and seating, we'd been able to socially distance with friends and relax on their beautiful grounds. We are not much into Maryland wines (typically, sweet) yet, their Cab Franc red wine is the best we've had in Maryland, hands down! The owners are very nice, and we are enjoying our drives out for a quick day trip to this great winery. We'd highly recommend a visit! You won't want to leave, either!

Super friendly people! Great work on ensuring social distancing and ensuring people were covered properly when in the sales room! Thank you for a great time!

I love this winery! I love the decor, the field vistas and any wine I’ve tried here. Yum! It’s run by some really nice people. For example, we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. The owner overheard us and came over and said “Would you like this half bottle of wine?”. It was just before closing but that was so kind. It was actually a little more than half full. We all loved our respective wines and we will return again and again. I can’t wait for the fall. That’s going to be beautiful.

Quaintly decorated tasting room in their barn, and as the other reviewers noted, very pleasant staff – even with our masks on we were able to joke around and have a good time. The Saturday I was there it was a beautiful day, and they happened to have live music to add to the atmosphere and help make for a relaxing time to sample their wine. During Covid, they have postponed sampling, but they do have wine flights prepared with 5 of their chosen samples. I thought the prices of their wines to maybe be a little steep, but the samples in the flight were particularly good offsetting some of the sticker shock. Initially, I requested what I thought would be a plate of fruit and nuts, but when I saw your 5 bought a bag like you may get on a plane, I opted for the cheese, which was very good and maybe a little more realistically priced. Of course, during these unusual times, higher prices are probably the only thing keeping some businesses doors open – in this case, a pair of very large barn doors with tasty delicacies behind them. In short, it was a pleasant treat after visiting the battlefield next door, and I would suggest if you’re in the area to make it one of your stops!
