After over 40 years with our previous insurance company (and no claims), we decided to look for a new company as the feeling of being a valued customer went away rapidly when our previous insurer was bought out. Less and less driving due to COVID-19 and a pittance of a refund for 2 months, the rates just kept rising but we got emails about how valued we are. That added insult to injury! Anyway, we found Dumfries Mutual, contacted Christina George, and the rest is history so to speak. Christina explained everything very clearly, was extremely helpful and professional. Added bonus is that the policies are short, clear and one does not have to be insurance educated to read them!

They have the worst customer service. Once you buy insurance from them, they’ll forget that you exist. I cancelled my plan 2 months ago and I’m still paying for it every month. Every time I call them I get a reply that we will call you back and no one ever calls me back. They just say broker is busy with another client. If you can’t deal with your current clients why do you accept more clients. Also who don’t you have a separate department to deal with cancellation and customer service!??? Such a ridiculous service for the price I have paid.

I am very blessed to have start off with Dumfries Mutual. I was referred by a family member to this insurance company 4 years ago. I immediately starting working with Colleen and have been with her since. I started off 21 years old with a brand new card and was grateful to have Colleen to support me through that process. Since then, I have added tenant insurance and am moving forward with my own home insurance all under the same agent. The rates are great, the services are amazing and even when Colleen is away getting a back-up agent is just as fast!! I have had a wonderful insurance journey, I would recommend 100%.
