Great venue whether it's for cinema or bands. Nice little bar area for drinks and snacks too and the only place I know still having an intermission during films, i love that. Very nice inside too.

My first visit to this cinema and although I’ve visited many cinemas in UK and abroad, it has been a long time since I visited an ‘old style’ cinema and to be honest I’d been putting it off. Here’s what I observed: The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were good. The screen was smaller than most (but the right size for the theatre size). The picture was cast from the rear of the theatre (the old fashioned way), but the image on the screen was 100% Crystal clear ( not blurring, no fade out, bright and no dark spots). The sound was perfectly clear and not TOO LOUD. There was a bar and drinks could be taken into the theatre (along with the usual snacks). There was an intermission and ice creams. The theatre was comfortable and not freezing cold as most modern cinemas tend to be. Glad I went and can’t wait to go again. Penistone is lucky to have this facility. Use it. Don’t loose it.

Looking lovely, traditional picture house set in Penistone, South Yorkshire, now reinvented itself as a small live venue. We saw Fairport Convention there tonight for the first time in 50 years. A great little venue.

This is such a brilliant place to see a film. Love the tradition of an intermission when you can get a drink from the bar or an ice cream from the ice cream seller. Happy days

As always, a warm welcome in this characterful venue, love having the bar available before the show and at the interval alongside the ice cream trolley. Loads of live entertainment throughout the year, perfect little community cinema and theatre that also happens to be highly popular for many miles due to the resident Compton organ. Extremely lucky to still have such a place in a small market town.
