The staff is very friendly and attentive to guests which are crucial to build a comfortable environment. I absolutely loved the cute, “rustic” decor, the hiking trails are amazing, and best of all you’re surrounded by trees and fresh air! Not something there’s much of in the city, I will definitely visit again.

The Lodge has managed, in conjunction with the Earth, to maintain an oasis of calm, joy, and curious experiences to delight the senses. You'll find it very difficult to leave this magical world. The kindness that each person exudes, genuine care about your wellbeing while in their home, is unmatched. The oatmeal reminded me of my Mama's from childhood. I loooooooovvveeeee the tavern dishes and cocktails esp: the shrimp pesto pasta, scallops, and those amazing gin cocktails! Each ingredient is sooooo fresh, either coming from the farm or close by. Every dish, hike, the mountain water, trees, fire pits, sunshine on the lawn feels like the warmest hug you've ever had! Don't leave without detoxing in the sauna and swimming in the pool! I cannot wait to return to marvel at the Fall colors on the trees. Plan to stay at least a week to let yourself completely unwind. Thank you Saadia, Casey, Dave, Rosa, Leti, Yasmeen, John, and the many others whose names I can't recall but made me feel right at home.

The food was delicious but I felt the scallop dish at 29 was a super small portion. I would have loved a lot more of the greens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but seemed to be short staffed.

Race Brook Lodge is a fantastic location immerse in a lush green property where you can spend days relaxing on hammocks, sitting around bonfire, swimming in their pool and taking short pleasant hikes in the wilderness. I love their wooden vintage barn, perfect spot for meditation and reading. Highly recommend this getaway from urban life.

I came here to visit because I am a wedding photographer from NYC. My wife wanted to show me around the area near to where she grew up. She thinks the Berkshires are perfect for a country style wedding. This place has an amazing barn for restaurant and fabulous cuisine. We ate at the Stage Coach restaurant- a place that could easily compete with the menu of any good NYC place. The best thing about it is that everything is here. Your wedding guests could easily stay here for the evening in one of the many super cozy rooms. There seem to be repeat customers. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. It’s like a big family between staff and guests. People respect the peacefulness of this place. My wife put it well: This place seems to self-select for open-minded, nature loving, low key people who love nature, wellness, good food, and good energy. The Stage Coach restaurant has amazing food and a colonial, candlelit atmosphere. This place is good for families, individuals, or couples. It is romantic but also good for a solitary traveler who wants to do hiking in one of the beautiful close-by trails I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in Autumn. If you want to know more, just ask the owners. They are super friendly!

Magical! Hiking right out the back, rustic and cozy rooms, friendly staff and absolutely phenomenal food and drink! Can’t wait to come back during the warmer months! About 20 minutes away from downtown Great barrington which has restaurants and shops, but you could easily stay at the resort and surrounding trails your whole visit!

Stopped for dinner at the stagecoach tavern. Delicious food, fantastic setting in their private dining rooms and open fire. Great service, we’ll be back.
