People here knew their stuff. I thought I was after an item, and after being turned away from two Big stores, I found myself here and after saying what I was after they said they could get it, but suggested something different that would work and would only cost 99p and it was perfect. Two BIG stores only sell \items\ (and failed). Sheppard's sell \solutions\ to problems, which was much more important to me.

I used to snob this place and to my embarrassment, realized that it is much but much cheaper than the giant diy chains. I approached one of the ladies (with an interesting hair colour as well as funky tattoos) for some assistance and I was taken around the corner to see the selection of TGVs. Would recommend this establishment for any diy and also, more importantly, it is local. Been in today, needed some advice and direction on building shelving in our airing cupboard. Perry (staff member) came to our aid and gave us sound advice and options on types of wood to work on. He even cut the wood to our specifications (saving a lot of time ahead). Thank you again, we'll be back!
I went in for a quotation on new kitchen and I can say the service I received from the moment I stepped in was fantastic. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady and the whole experience was good. Even after my quotation I brought a bag of plasterboard adhesive and this was really quick transaction at the back office by the person who did my kitchen quotation. It was nice to see the business doing so well in these difficult times. Overall really good experience with good welcoming and helpful staff.
