Some of the employees do try and are kind to my son. Last time I visited my son, his hands were dirty, his nails were very long. I asked the nurse to clip them.He said he did not get breakfast and his bed was not made at 4 pm. I wish I could find a place for him in a Catholic nursing home.

This is place is dirty and disgusting - do NOT use this facility for anyone you care about! My mother's room had NO heat in the middle of winter, she was supposed to be on a diabetic diet that they ignored, her medications were not distributed on time and they often had to be reminded, she was promised a television that never came, the controls on her bed did not work, the staff would lie and say they had taken care of changing her bandages (when they hadn't) so often that we began dating them and taking a photo as proof that it wasn't done. No one in our family has a good thing to say about this despicable, smelly, filthy place!

This company is a joke and the thought they are still allowed to operate a nursing home is sad. All of the 5 star reviews are current employees whose job is to drive Addmissions and money into the facility by all means even if they can’t take care of the residents needs. Think twice before sending your loved one to one of there facilities. It’s unfortunate that for some people this is there only option. No one deserves to live in any of these conditions.

A family friend was just in this facility for 3 days. He had taken a decline and the staff didn't seem to know what to do. They actually told the family that they don't deal with dying patients. Really? The website states they provide palliative care. When the family asked to have him sent to the hospital because he was just withering away the staff stated they couldn't because his MOLST stated not to send to the hospital. The patient was unresponsive and the HCP was asking to override the order. Only when they were asked again using the right verbage (after I drove there and was willing to advocate for the family as I am an RN) did they call the doctor and he was finally sent back to the hospital to recieve the care he deserved. The facility was dirty. There was someone else's belongings in the closet that did not belong to the patient. He was in a urine soaked bed. The facility smelled of urine so bad it was burning my nose. There were dirty briefs in the other closet and dirty linen. This is unacceptable.

Safire of the Northtowns is its new name. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE!! This place is horrible. You can't leave a message for many of the staff because the voicemail is full. They do no respond to emails. They can't answer basic questions to appropriate people. Questions like, \What is my parent's current medical status?\ A simple question that should give a simple answer, but they can't do it. When they get a new staff person THAT person does well for a while until they get ground down by the organization's complete lack of..well...organization. They will make sure that your parent gets the bare minimum legal care until they are dead. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE!!
