My favorite restaurant of all time for 4-5 years running (when a former dancer from lil Baobab introduced me). I don't get there all the time because its deep in the Mission, so only my Mission friendly crowd who don't mind public transport will go with me. And though their prices are a STEAL for the food you get, people who are public transport friendly, aren't always the ones who can afford more than a Mission burrito. On average I spend 15 for a meal here, but when you are talking FINE DINING in INCREDIBLE ATMOSPHERE, its the cheapest place on earth... especially when the food is so good, I'd even be thrilled to just have their salad.

Great place. Food was well done, rich in flavor (not simply spicy) and the service was excellent. Fun ambiance at night. Eclectic but relaxed; nice crowd. The premium cocktail pitcher (2nd one down on menu) was a bit thick/sweet.
I've been dancing Hawaiian hula for close to 15 years, and never once knew that the hibiscus flowers I put in my hair during hula performances can be magically transformed into a delicious drink. Elevation adds tamarind, ginger and some potent alcohol with the hibiscus, then...voila! a dangerously pretty drink.
I've been here in Bissap's dance club form, and it was interesting to come for dinner. Still the same vibrant colors, but a more demure atmosphere. The DJ booth is there, but no DJ. The dance floor is there, but with tables for dinner.
