A very nice but small piece of Japanese history that has been preserved very well over the years. It is one of the smaller castles located in Japan. I found it a little disappointing to see how some of the castle property is currently occupied by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. There is no fee for admission and the workers will give you a very informative tour of the castle grounds.

Very small castle but stuffs are friendly and sakuras also makes you happy
It's a nice looking castle but very small. Also, not all buildings are open to the public. The biggest building seems to lay in a military base
I was disappointed, there is no castle. It is only the remaining West gate of the castle. I think the castle was destroyed during WW2.
Loved it
The castle is absolutely beautiful, especially during cherry blossom season in spring and when the leaves turn colors in fall. You can tour the inside for free, and the greeting staff are always friendly and helpful.
