It is a junction station. Most of the long run trains will stop here for more time. Food also is good here.
Less crowded and people pertaining to railways are following all protocols
One of the busy junctions of southern railway. It has food stalls which are affordable and clean. The platforms are clean and maintained well in condition. The station is situated at the junction of four major railway lines - the Nilambur line from the north, Coimbatore line from the east, Cochin Harbour Terminus line from the south and Mangalore line from the North-west. Being the junction, the station also serves as refilling center for long distance trains.
Planning is not fair. One of the biggest station with minimum facilities. Cold war between officials ( understood by their conversation (a year back) South Indian stations are more accurate in passenger handling. But funds and facilities to other zones where without travellers are more.
Shoranur railway statiom is extreme large , Its really large.. This is the largest railway station in the Kerala in terms of area.. Its a beautiful station.. Its very clean and there is proper maintainance.... Sanitation and washroom are very clean.. Flatforms are very clean.. Cleaners work properly..
Clean environment. Good and friendly staff. The left to exit from foot over bridge is really a blessing. Normal charges for Taxi Service from station. There is no prepaid service, however private taxis are available.
Shoranur junction is a big Railway junction in Kerala. But the facilities are very less. No escalator no lift. Not much customer friendly. But it is neat and clean.
