Beautiful! So many trails, paved AND off-path. A family fave destination to enjoy creation & feel so nicely away from crazy Life, yet it's not out in the middle of nowhere! Clean. Easy access. Picnic areas. Restrooms. All well maintained. Love it here!

It has some beautiful outlooks of the DuPage River. I prefer to stay on the dirt trails, which has leds traffic. Unless you go early, it is can be a busy path.

Nice path to bike or walk. You can take the trails into the woods and get a little cardio with the hills or stairs. It's clean, not usually too busy and kid and pet friendly. If you bring your dog please have it on a lease since otherwise have theirs. They have a big pavilion got haven't checked that out yet.

Hammel woods is always the best. The forest preserve is well taken care of and has paved trails and unpaved trails. During the week it is empty but during the weekends it can get a little crowded. Absolutely wonderfully gorgeous!
