Very nice museum with a not so big collection of interesting pieces. All the beautiful pieces that were found during the excavation of the Apadana have been transported to Paris where they can be seen in the Louvre.

This was really interesting, the bull Column capital, the 3500 year old head statues, 2500 year old little pieces of tiles belonging to Darius palace all were amazing!
Small but nice museum , their English subtitle is horrible . They have a small little castle that is a walking distance from it . It has been constructed by the French around 120 years back with the same bricks that has been excavated from the 4500 yr apadana palace . They have kept an old car in display , with some old stones . They had a contract with the iran govt of that time . All the gold found will belong to the king , while they get to take the remaining loot !!!! Make sure u have the fresh sugarcane juice out there , refreshing juice !!!
Amazing collection of ancient artefacts that goes beyond just paintings and sculpture, some as old as the city itself - 5000 years Persian Empires capital from the Seleucid and Parthian dynasties. Was the favourite city of King Darius I the Great. Take another tack - in this city lived the biblical characters Esther, Nehemiah, Daniel. Esther was married to King Xerxes I. Impressive colors, see the Unicor - glazed enamelled tiles, decorative brick friezes, Achaemenid Soldier in glazed brick from 510 BC - at rest (as his javelin is resting on his foot) Take in the pottery, pillars, bases, masks, dolls, plates, jugs, cups, each with a story to tell. The columns from the audience hall of the Palace of Darius - each 21 meters tall ... tell the tale of greatness from very ancient times

Loved this place
Very interesting. Very recommended for people who are interested in history and old civilizations.
Excellent artifacts from Susa are exhibited here. The place is small but it does have riveting pieces in it.
