Delicious food, exceptional staff and lovely atmosphere. Food - we ate there twice, and all dishes were delicious, made with soul and good ingredients, beautifully served - soup of the day, haggis, burgers. Good beer. Staff were over every prise: attentive, caring, friendly, excellent service. It is lovely atmosphere as well - cosy and homey and fun. Thank you so much guys!

We popped in here for lunch during a recent stay in the town. We both found the chap working there a little unfriendly when we arrived, and I was a little dismayed to be informed that two of the three vegan items on the menu were unavailable, leaving me only a starter of a vegetable skewer and (shudder) chips, which I was really getting sick of after a few days in Scotland. Seriously, it’s not hard to just offer some basic vegetable dishes so that vegetarians/vegans don’t have to keep resorting to chips. My partner ordered a steak. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Also, bizarrely, the supposedly vegan kebab was served with a honey dressing, which most vegans won’t eat. They really need to modernise their menu and make it a little more imaginative and flavourful.

Been coming here, every couple of years, since they opened. Never let us down. Judging by what we overheard from the guy answering the phone - it is still very popular, and booking seems to be essential if you want a table after 18:00.

Loved this place for years, and it never lets me down. It's such a quirky little place that didn't look much from the outside but once you're inside you walk into this warm and welcoming restaurant that serves really nice food, with really gentle portions. I like the fact that the menu is generally a little bit different from your run of the mill menus. Recommend coming here if you're in Aviemore
