Great pub! Super team running the place who make you feel at home even with all the disruption at the moment. The food is superb we had roast chicken and roast lamb both portions where a great size and reasonaby priced, and most importantly delicious!

Have visited the Golden Cross on many occasions, with both friends and family, and always have a lovely time. Bar/waiting staff are always super friendly and food is fab. The stone baked pizzas are amazing and highly recommended! A great place to visit for the football or just to sit in the sun on the lovely new patio. Lots of effort has been put in to ensure Covid safety and this is very much appreciated. Highly recommend this pub to all. (Pretty please add a vegetarian Sunday lunch so I can come even more! Oh and a wine list too would be nice!)
Lovely Place and staff, stopped off after work at 6pm was lucky and able to get a table without advanced booking at 6pm Saturday. Very good food tastes like home cooked with a great pint of Guinness. Cheers!
Had the Caribbean 12in pizza - stone baked and delicious, worth the price and more. But THEN... the plum and ginger desert with ice cream was sublime. Almost ordered a second. 5 stars, pricing not over the top. Quality reflects it.
Poor service. The bar man was too busy talking to his friend to care about what I wanted. I ordered the 1/2 roast chicken and it was overcooked and dry. I couldn't even cut it with a sharp knife. I don't think I will ever eat here again.
