Herschel park is one of the few jewels Slough has, our little one loves going there to feed the ducks. Unfortunately Slough Council in all their wisdom, now seem to have taken over the old Upton Park Hotel next to the park, and fill it with the town's drug addicts. They obviously fall into the park, leave their litter everywhere, and is a lovely setting for them to get high or drunk and turn into zombies.

I joined the National Trust recently and the house is old english architecture the grounds are very well kept if you like the great outdoors take some walking boots and explore the grounds surrounding the house Unfortunately because of the restrictions of the virus the house was closed but it was a great day to walk in the footsteps of those that have inhabited the house in the past. The National trust charge 72 a year for membership this can also be paid monthly by direct debit of 6 a month giving access to over 500 places of interest across Great Britain.
It was small, but has lot of shaded places to sit down and relax. The pond's water was not moving so it stunk. However, you can see water lilies and ducks there.
Lovely chilled park nice trees very old park. Nice kept grass. Great for relaxing and letting kids run around. Pity the pond seem to be going backwards water turning black. Otherwise all good for a picnic or just relax.
Lovely park, never busy. Ducks to feed and currently a Christmas trail - 15 cards to find (although 1 appears to be missing and 3 haven’t been changed from a previous version of the trail!)
