My husband and I were interested in a home built in 1971 & of course it has aluminum wiring. We were told to contact P.O.P electric for a copalum connector repair bid and spoke with Darren. He came out & prepared a reasonable bid, which we used to reduce the price of the house & get our closing costs covered by the sellers. We were very impressed by his knowledge and trusted that he would help make our house safe. We confirmed over the phone that he would start work the week of August 31st. The week before I emailed with no response & left a voice mail message to confirm that we were all set to go, no response. I called Monday morning and received a text that he couldn't start today and would call me later in the morning. He never called. Next day my husband got on the phone Darren eventually & Darren said his guy never works on Monday & was all tied up, but would try to get him out by the end of the week. He said he'd update us the following day. He never called us back and then stopped answering our calls & emailed. Darren GHOSTED us!!! GHOSTED us!! I grown man stopped picking up the phone to avoid conflict and left us hanging out to dry. We have to pay an extra month in rent because of the set up. Luckily we found another company that can do the Alumiconn connectors instead. Darren is the worst! Don't use this company

Although they never returned my call (that I know of), I would still recommend them to anyone for their many years as both electrical contractors and /or long time family friends and subcontractors. 3 Generations of electrical experience in the north end of Seattle area and Snohomish County.

Update (2018.11): I had a warranty item come up recently and Pop Electric followed up and communicated in a timely manner which was appreciated. Thank you. Original Post: We have aluminum wiring and Pop electric is the only outfit in the state that does Copalum crimps which is why we decided to go with them (there is another crimping option which is bulky that other outfits offer but this is what we opted for). Aside from the Copalum crimps, we had them swap out fixtures, add can lights, switches and rewire for the kitchen. While their installer was good to work with and communicated well that cannot be said for their estimator/owner. There were numerous times that I tried to contact the estimator (who is the owner) via phone (office & cell) and email for some additional pricing or questions or to get update on where things sit and I might as well have been talking to a black hole as there was little to ZERO followup on their end - VERY FRUSTRATING. Billing was a joke, took about 90 days to get our bill after being told we'd have it sooner, very little detail - lump sum, didn't appear that they applied any of the unit pricing from their estimate; we paid and will utilize a different electrician for our future electrical needs. If you have aluminum wiring, you might be stuck with Pop & the Copalum crimps but you have other options for the rest of your electrical needs!

Unprofessional, just will stop responding and give no reason leaving you in a bind.
