I contacted David because, no matter what I tried, I could not stop my dog from pulling on the lead. As we were in lockdown when I made contact, it was impossible for David to provide the one to one sessions that I’d had in mind. David insisted that he could provide just as effective tuition via Zoom. I was very sceptical to say the least. “How can he possibly show me what I’m doing wrong when he can’t even watch what I’m doing?” In the end I was becoming so frustrated with the pulling that I decided to give it a go. It’s some of the best money I have ever spent! Within two days the pulling is almost stopped and walks are enjoyable again. Please don’t think there is a magic silver bullet. There isn’t. There are quite a few small changes that you’ll probably have to make, but if you follow David’s advice, I’m pretty confident you can vastly improve your dogs behaviour.

David has provided excellent guidance for me as the owner of a very bouncy and enthusiastic Flat Coated Retriever. He has shown great patience and kindness in his training techniques ensuring that my dog has enjoyed the one-to-one sessions and importantly, made it straightforward for me to continue those techniques. Thanks to David's input my dog is growing into a well-behaved, well balanced and confident family pet who is a pleasure to be with and who recently we took to Scotland in a campervan for a very successful couple of weeks. During that time she travelled very comfortably in a harness & seatbelt, came into pubs/restaurants settling immediately under the table and got used to walking on a slack lead. We had our first puppy training home visit with David yesterday and couldn’t recommend him more. Complete common sense approach to training our Border Collie pup Ringo, all explained and demonstrated by David. In only a day Ringo can already sit, lay down and has responded well to initial recall training. Brilliant, responsive, friendly and very knowledgeable.. if you are looking for puppy training then look no further.

I've been attending classes for some time now and the magnificent change towards good dog behaviour is evident in all the dogs present. Training the owner to train the dog through a reward system, reaps benefits very quickly and the dogs are relaxed, but also the social aspect of seeing dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds interacting happily is testament to the commitment of David Evans. Nothing better than seeing dogs share treats at the end of training without a grizzle or a push between them! Very happy dogs make for very happy owners.
