I recently fainted in my dining room, the result was a huge gash in my head. My house became a lake of blood.I was soaked from head to toe...they had to cut my clothes off in the hospital....they had to throw away my shoes ,socks and underpants.Social services moved in..when I got home,my house was immaculate...they'd even laundered one of the cushions on my antique wingback armchairs. The place had never been so clean since I moved in on the 3rd of Jan 2020.To say that they were a marvel is the greatest understatement since the dawn of man.The relief when I got home was overwhelming.Simply the best. Can't thank you guys enough.God bless you and keep you safe forevermore. Receptionist was very polite but despite numerous phone calls and promises of a return phone call!! I am still waiting five weeks on for an assessment for my frail elderly father. We at first had arranged private care hoping this would be a short term crisis and therefore we didn't make any demands on the NHS service beyond a day or two However now its long term it seems our thoughtfulness was ill-placed, because we seem to be seen as not needing any support despite increasing depletion of hard earned savings to ensure private care and my fathers safety, whilst we await a return phone call!! I know its not urgent or life threatening...but seriously if its that hard for me to deal with as a fully able bodied and mentally competent individual...what hope have the frail, confused and elderly got of getting the support they need?
