Southwestfalia University of Applied Sciences offers this dorm to students of master's course Systems Engineering and Engineering. Rent: It ranges from 190 euros to 290 euros based on the carpet area of your room. The average rent is 230 euros. The rent includes electricity costs, water charges, etc. Internet in not provided by the landlord and you have to pay 17 euros as Radiotax per month per apartment. (i.e. If 4 students are living in an apartment, each will pay 17/4 euros per month) Kitchen: Kitchen is equipped with all the necessary equipment. It has a 4-Stove induction, oven, fridge, around 8 shelves, some cutlery and a dining table. Rooms: Rooms are good compared to what you get when you rent a private apartment in Soest. A large cupboard, a table, teapoy and a couple of small shelves are provided. The apartment has heaters in each room to keep you warm in the chilly weather. Transportation: There are a few bus stops like Canadischer Weg, Waldstraße at a walking distance. The last bus you can catch runs at around 9 pm. Nearby places: There are three cheap supermarkets Penny, Aldi and MixMarkt and one Asian store at a walking distance. If you want to go to REWE (which is little costlier) you'll have to walk around 1 km. The Sparkasse bank and ATM is also at a few minutes walk. University is about 400 m away. Tip: 1) If you get an admit in this university for SEEM course, contact them immediately for the dorm because there are very few rooms available compared to the total no. of students coming in. It's almost impossible to find a good apartment around Soest. 2) When they allot you a room, try to contact seniors (on Facebook, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp groups) to know if there are some better (in terms of condition or rent) rooms available. 3) Many a times, you'll get a mail saying that no room is available when you contact them after getting an admit. But as some students graduate, the rooms become available, so be in touch with seniors.
