Clean and good breakfast
like
No frills, but clean with a very accommodating staff. Very good value and convenient location in Solingen.
I come here 2 or 3 times a year and the hotel isn't beautiful but the rooms are big, the bed comfortable and the breakfast great.
Affordable price, spacious rooms, good internet and close to public transport. Reception and personal were very helpful and kind. Also multilingual. Something definitely to consider!
Driving back to Denmark from vacation we found this hotel via Google. We did not expect much but was very surprised and happy when we arrived. The staff were really sweet and in no time we were checked in. The rooms were spacious and ventilated and clean. Bathrooms were perfect in size and there were places to put ones washbag, which is a problem in most hotel bathrooms. But most importantly: we slept like babies in the beds and enjoyed a very well assorted breakfast the next morning before we checked out.
When thinking of a business hotel for just 1 or 2 nights it’s pretty ok. What’s definitely a no-go, is the rooms do not have a safe, in the bathroom there was partly a little bit of mold and no aircon. But breakfast was perfect and staff are very friendly and polite.
This is a nice hotel and really surprisingly cheap.. The hotel receptionist was friendly and really helpful. The room I had was OK, quite large and adequate for the couple of nights that I was there. The breakfast was good too. A good choice, pretty much everything you'd expect really. Apparently not all the rooms have coffee making facilities. Fortunately mine did. I wouldn't have been so happy without my coffee first thing. One surprise was discovering that about 10% of the rooms are smoking rooms, this is unusual I think nowadays. Overall it was a nice enough hotel. The one thing that really let it down for me was the bathroom however. In particular the shower. The shower cubicle is really small. Added to that it has a shower curtain around two sides of the cubicle which just seemed to pull inwards reducing the cubicle space to virtually unusable. Really dissatisfied with that. Definitely needs a better shower area. With an improved shower area it's an easy 4 stars.
Already stayed in this hotel 4 times. Breakfast buffet was nicer before...
