My grandma has dementia and cant remember to change clothes or a need to shower. She went a month without either but they swear by the chart someone fills out supposedly when you can look at her and know that's a lie. The visitor parking is never empty because employees park there so a lot of times visitors have to park behind the building or on the street.

My Mother was was brought here for re-hab after the hospital stated that she would never go home. The nursing department and therapy department gave above excellent care and my mother was able to go back home. This nursing home gave my family , my mother and my father their lives back. We will be forever in their grace. If i could give this nursing home a 10 star I would. The Providers, The Director of Nursing, the Nursing Staff, and the Therapy Staff are beyond caring, determined, and highly motivate to get their rehab patients back home. I have seen a long-term skilled facility before, but not like this. I have been able to make friends with most of the long-term residents here, and they have nothing but good things to say. They say that their care has been above average in every way. The direction that I have seen from this facility in the last few months go is amazing, other facilities should take there lead from this one. (Why I know this my mother has been at sonshine manor before)....
My sister was put in this nursing home for a progressive condition. I couldn't care for her at home anymore. I brought her to sonshine manor. This process was hard for me, but after weeks went by I have seen the outstanding care and their compassion. An example, at home she used the wheelchair all the time, but now she is able to use the walker. Another example, she seemed to be depressed at her, but no her spirits are up, she is making friends, and the number 1 factor is, she is smiling. I am a nurse and i expect certain things from a facility, this facility is top notch, they always know my sisters medications, changes in condition, and come up with creative ideas to keep my sister at her highest quality of life. I would pick sonshine manor over many of the nursing home. I could keep rambling on. Another thing is their hospice care here is amazing, I have a couple family / friends, they make sure their end of life care is a family/ patient care model. Thank You Sonshine Staff ( All of you make it great there).
