I have been a member of this credit union for several years, and while it is not alway the most convenient choice to bank with a local credit union, their staff went out of the way to be helpful. Until they were acquired by Guardians Credit Union in June 2020. Ever since then, SFFCU staff is helpless and uninformed about accounts. Money movement apps are no longer supported (you can't use Paypal, Venmo or Cashapp with any of your accounts or cards--this change happened overnight and without notice, even to the staff), Guardians credit union staff are incredibly rude and condescending to their newly-acquired members whose accounts have suddenly become inaccessible (no apps, new/poorly functioning online banking portal, suddenly terminated lines of credit). The merger has been a financial nightmare for me as a member, and I have spent months trying to extract my money and get it into another credit union. I truly feel like my money has been held hostage. Do not ever bank with South Florida Federal Credit Union or Guardians Credit Union (now one in the same).

the system always down. When you call the bank number nobody answer. Some charges appear in to my account no way to find out why. Everything happens after the bank was mix, changed o bought by another credit union.
I have been banking with this bank for 15 years now and can say that this is one of the worst banks on anyone's list. I've had one of their tellers yell at me before. Plenty of times there's only one teller with a line of ten people. If you deposit large checks they will hold the check for weeks at a time. I have called for the bank manager before and have never received a call back. I just recently I deposited a sizable payroll check and was told that the funds will be released in 16 days including weekends. This isn't the first time this has happened. I call the bank and the bank manager never gets back to me. If your looking for customer service and a bank that wont hold on to your money then please look somewhere else. Some time ago I spoke to Ed Madero when they wanted to hold a previous check after I had deposited and he released it IMMEDIATELY. I don't know why South Florida Credit Union decides that its ok for them to hold someones check for weeks at a time. I will be going to the bank in person and requesting that they close my account as I'm currently running my business and cannot afford the nightmare that I've previously been subjected to with SFFCU.
I have been calling for two days no one answers or calls back.I. I need help since the new check in It will not let me into my accounts
Stay away from this place. Customer service is extremely poor. They need to close this nasty place.
