Waiting on the platform and they announce a train cancellation due to mechanical issues 10 min before departure. Walked up to the kiosk and the attendant said that’s the northbound and the southbound (which we are on) would be just a little delayed to allow for another northbound to come. Ok cool. We have a flight to catch. 5 min later, southbound train is now also canceled 5 min before departure due to mechanical issues. Asked the kiosk again when the next train was coming and they aren’t sending one. You just have to wait another hour. Asked for a refund and they can’t process credit card refunds and told to call. Call the customer service line, and they can’t either. They can only give you an address for where to mail your ticket. This is an unfortunate level of service from public employees. If the trains are in such disrepair, the staff should be equipped to do something about it or make it better in someway. The indifference of the staff was almost inhuman. Zero reaction or empathy. Zero recognition that these people will now be spending 120 in airport parking and now driving an hour to the airport. Things happen but people can make it better. No interest.

First time out of state rider. Cheap fare of 5.00 for one way ticket Miami Airport to West Palm Beach Airport. On time then took a Tri Rail shuttle bus to airport which was an easy connection and included in the fare. Only one suggestion that you should not to use their bathrooms on train. The train I was on was unuseable and too filthy to describe. Use clean restroom at the station before boarding the train.

I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient, thorough and extremely courteous treatment I received during a phone call to tri rail. Few people would have the patience to adequately explain how to acquire the senior citizen/disabled discount card and to give detailed directions on how to transfer to metro rail and return. I believe the person I spoke with was \Patricia\. I am no longer afraid to use tri rail.

More of a hassle than it’s worth sometimes. Very few luggage rack spaces and yet you can’t use a seat to store a bag even when the train is practically empty. Very unreasonable considering this train connects to airports where people need to bing luggage. They forced me to put my luggage in an area by the door blocking handicap seats.

Anytime I have to go to South Florida for work I get a slight feeling of dread, given what driving in SE Florida is like! Over my past three trips, I have more fully discovered the convenience of Tri-Rail. Stations from Miami International Airport to West Palm Beach, fares that are probably too cheap (though, keeping fares cheap is important, in my opinion, since it provides good transport for those of us on limited incomes and that might not own a car). And, FREE shuttles from many of the stations!!! What is there not to like! I love it.
