My first experience with SFMAH was in November 2018. At the time, I was unable to secure an appointment with my previous veterinarian, and was in a bit of panic because my younger (smaller) dog had explosive, black, diarrhea. I was met by Charlotte, a tiny, sweet young lady who assured me Mia would receive the best care.
Since that time, over the past eight months, Mia, Tako, and I have been there a dozen times. (They are elderly dogs and, unfortunately, their health is declining to to heart and kidney diseases.)
Their hours are convenient and they will make every effort to squeeze you in. We usually meet with Dr. Cattoor, but have also been assisted by Dr. Nichol and Dr. Matlock. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. During each visit, I feel heard and understood. And each decision regarding their care is collaborative.
Earlier this month, the decision to euthanize Mia was, as you can imagine, heartbreaking. However, the staff was loving, and comforting, and I know, although it hurts, it was the right decision. Charlotte, and Dr. Nichol, were extremely supportive and I couldn’t have done it without their support.
Tako, now, has had a hard time losing his sibling, and has been diagnosed with giardiasis and muscle strain. Each phone call, and visit, is addressed immediately and with respect, dignity, and genuine concern. After each visit, without fail, someone calls to check up on him.
I, genuinely, appreciate a business where I feel I am supported and heard. I highly recommend South Flower Mound Animal Hospital for all of your pet’s medical, and dental, health.
