Amazing experience. Highly recommended. We drove 40 minutes each way from our holiday accommodation to dine here, solely based on Google reviews and a glance at the set menu for the week. It was totally worth it. Welcoming, friendly and professional service. The highlight of the night was no doubt the food - from entree to dessert it was all fantastic. Will visit again if we're in the area. (And thank you for the bonus birthday treat - the rhubarb sorbet was lovely )

I've wanted to go for years, my wife visited last year so it was finally my turn to visit SOUTH on Albany. All our dishes were special in their own right, as were the freshly shucked oysters. Yes I did order more. The highlight was the confit duck which was exceptional. We had wonderfully friendly hosts who clearly have a passion for great food and wine. Like me if you haven't been you must, we will be back. Cheers John & Kathleen
Amazing food with very gently friendly staff. Weren’t sure what we were going to get with the set menu & while it was all dishes I wouldn’t have chosen myself they were all fantastic & I enjoyed it thoroughly. Good to be put in the hands of a good chef.
We had a dinner at South on Albany on Saturday night and it was fantastic. Every course was delicious (yes, we used our fingers for the quail, though I think our neighbours were a bit disgusted) and the service was impeccable: the perfect balance of professional and friendly. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly and will definitely visit again when we’re in the area.
It was a wet and miserable night, but luckily we secured a reservation at SOUTH on Albany with our dear friends from Sydney. This was only our second visit and after 18 months so wasn't quite sure what we were going to experience. To say we were delighted would be an understatement. The set menu was perfect for us, the food preparation and presentation was great, Kin, our waiter was knowledgeable, experienced and 'just right' in his attention to us. All in all a very pleasant experience on an otherwise miserable wet night...we will definitely be coming back, but a lot sooner than last time.
There's certainly a reason why this restaurant is so well received and reviewed. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food was beautifully prepared and presented, staff service was exceptional and friendly. Thank you for such a wonderful evening guys!
My husband and I enjoyed a 3 course meal with matching wines. The ambiance and staff were warm and welcoming and our dinner was delicious. We were especially happy to have a Hunter Valley Briar Ridge Chardonnay as one of our matching wines as we were visiting from the Hunter. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Just wow, I wish I could give more stars or a higher recommendation! This place might be small but it punches well above its weight when it comes to the service, quality of food and drinks. Relaxed vibe with incredible food and amazing staff, this place is must visit anytime you feel like treating yourself to the finer things in life! Menu changes every week so the attached pictures are only a guide for the deliciousness that is always present!
