Was denied covid 19 vaccine after setting appointment even tho I am eligible by state guidelines. Leadership staff at intermed interjected its own opinions on the definitions of words to refuse to provide care, even tho no other provider in the state is following such a narrow and restrictive definition. Edit: Since you wanted to try and run a canned reply why don't you publically explain why a coworker in his 20s was able to be vaccinated under the same job qualifications? Is this the canned response you gave the CDC when they finally got back to me and confirmed that you were in the wrong? I am in contact with hundreds of sick patients daily as a patient facing worker in a public health setting and your leaderships personal opinions onto the legitimacy of the public health setting i work in are not valid. Shame on you. It's unfortunate they can't find people to do the job well over there. Maybe if I was a paying registered patient at your office, instead of a member of the public seeking a free vaccine, things might be different eh? Disgusting for profit American Healthcare.

I switched to InterMed about a year ago and love them. Our Dr's take the time needed in our appointments to review our files and follow up to make sure everything is o.k. It's so much different than feeling like I'm part of assembly line care with a time limit.

They always get me in quickly if I have a concern. They also listen to me, inform me of the options and their recommendations but providing alternatives, and referrals are always super quick. It’s also really convenient to be able to get everything done in one practice, from labs to PT to OBGYN care.

Our family doctor has always been amazing. The issue is the confusion with the staff that does triage. The messages to the doctor never seem to make it correctly. I’m wondering if Intermed has gotten too large and it is time to find an office where we deal with a couple people not handfuls.

I was recommended to Intermed. A woman called me from the New Patient department. She was pleasant while I explained that I was looking for a new doctor. She asked if I had any current issues. I explained that I did and that PART of my issues had been referred to an endocrinologist. She asked if I was on meds. I responded that I was not. She said procedure was to schedule a physical or I would have to pay for it out of pocket. I explained that I had just had a physical in December 2015. She stated again that she knew it sounded weird but this was the way it was done so that I didn't pay out of pocket. I was extremely confused by this statement. So I would start to talk, she would interrupt: "do you want a male or female doctor?" "I have some available in Portland." So I said: So I can't be seen till December of 2016? She responded: You can but. You. Have. To. Pay. Out. Of. Pocket. I stated: I'm confused. I don't understand why I would need to pay out of pocket? Her response in a tone: Because you said you don't take medicine, you just had your physical and you aren't sick. Those are the only way insurance covers visits. My response: Ma'am I said at the very beginning that I did have some issues and that PART of them were being scheduled to see an endocrinologist. Her response in an even nastier tone: Well you would have to cancel that appointment, see our doctor and then they would refer you. Mind you it has taken me two weeks to get THIS appointment. She never asked me what the other issues were. I have the right to see more than one doctor. Completely uncalled for. My final comments: "Ma'am, I don't know why you have been so rude to me. You have interrupted me and talked over me. You're nasty and unprofessional. At this point I disconnected the call. I will be placing this on my Facebook page as well.

Dealing with the New Patient representatives is probably the most aggravating experience I have ever gone through. I am an established patient, but was trying to get my SO a scheduled physical. The appointment was 3 months out, so I asked to be on a cancellation list. Not only did a woman named Liz or Lisa leave a 3 minute long voicemail, but she also proceeded to lecture me as to why it takes so long to get patients in. She was rude and condescending and because of her, I am seriously considering changing providers.

My entire family goes here and we all love it, even my husband and son who both hate going to the doctor! All of the physicians, nurses, and receptionists that i've met there have been incredible! They are happy, upbeat, attentive and extremely helpful and effective! Thank you Intermed!
