I have been at the Portland, Maine store 3 times. The associates were attentive, courteous and helpful bringing me clothes to try on. I was shopping for a new wardrobe as I had lost 30 lbs. during my cancer treatments. They never made me feel like I was being watched.

The store is good for plus size women. They have good quality clothing and bras. I know the prices are astronomical, they usually have a fairly decent clearance section. I prefer to shop online versus in the store because I feel the store doesn’t have that big of a selection. Sometimes I do find good deals on things there or items that people bought online and return to the store. They have free shipping to the store when you buy online, but for eight bucks I’d rather not have to go to a shopping mall look for a spot to park then go in and wait for someone to find the order that I placed.

I went into the SoPo Lane Bryant last weekend, but made my way back out very quickly. It had nothing to do with the prices or the selection. It had to do with the aggressiveness of the employees. I don't mind being greeted or asked if I need help, but I do resent being relentlessly followed around the store. It is a small store, and the constant feeling of being watched was oppressive. I won't be going back.
