To start with, I would say most people would consider their pets to be a member of the family and as such which care and treat them accordingly - Well during my visit the Southcrest they believe in the same values and really treated my puppy with care and love. I was previously registered with another vets in Redditch, and unfortunately during an appointment in relation to stomach issues and use of her back legs, the vet perscribed some probiotics but then seemed very dismissive as I discussed her back legs. This resulted in a diagnoses which caused serious worry to my partner and I, who ended up walking out the vets more concerned and confused then when we walked in. As a result, I was recommended by a family member to attend Southcrest and take a second opinion... so I did. The visit started with an initial call to the receptionist, who from the outset was polite who seemed to have genuine concern for my puppy, this was brilliant to hear as its exactly what you want to put your mind at rest. Due to the covid restrictions I wasn't able to go into the practice, but the initial call was followed up by a call from the vet. The vet was extremely kind. She talked through my concerns in a professional and a very down to earth manner. I was subsequently asked to take my puppy into the practice for her consultation. After a few minutes, the vet contacted me and again, in a professional and kind manner, provided a full diagnosis in a way which I could understand and feel confident in asking questions. At the conclusion of the consultation I went into the surgery to pick up my puppy and she was relaxed lay at the feet of a receptionist who was attending and comforting her. On payment, I was exceedingly shocked to see the cost, very reasonable and a lot less then anticipated. Overall, my experience at Southcrest vets was excellent and I cannot recommend this vets more - Thank you guys! Bella, my 8 month Golden Retriever is on the mend already and I'm very happy!

A refreshing change to pet care. Having experienced the up selling of other vets we decided to move to somewhere that actually puts the animals welfare first. Thank you all at Southcrest for offering that service.
Rang this vets seeking advice as i was told it was good & had no luck with my own vet. No advice was given and was told to be guided by my own vet.. even though i wouldnt of rang this vets if i was being properly guided by my own vet. Guess ill keep looking for a vet that wants to help.
OK, so it is a little expensive, but the knowledge and friendly nature of all the staff makes it worth while. Also its for your loved pet, so probably worth spending a few extra quid.
During COVID I understand it is extremely hard to adapt and cope given the current situation. However the current call when you are outside the surgery is ridiculous, when calling about my dog who was literally dying in my arms on the way to the vets. The answer was still wait until your outside. Then you arrive call again and wait for 15 minutes. Not really good enough - this needs to change and be more flexible, the secretary should really take each case on a case by case basis.
