I was about to buy a truck from another car lot so I brought it to Southern Chevy and asked their opinion of it. They looked the truck over, changed the oil and found that it was a trustworthy truck once they replaced a gasket. They did this very quickly since I was on a test drive. They were great to work with and gave an honest opinion of the truck. I'd recommend them as they were a pleasure to work with.

I wanted a safe, reliable, fuel efficient vehicle for my daughter's new car for college. She wanted sporty, fun to drive, and hands-free radio. They met and exceeded all our requests. My husband and I were vacationing in Orange Beach last week. On Saturday we discovered the battery on our our 2020 Traverse was dead. Once we were able to start the vehicle, every warning light on the dash illuminated. We called Southern Chevrolet in a panic because we were due to leave the following day and didn’t know if our vehicle would be able to make the trip home. Not only was the service department friendly when we called in a panic, but they asked us to bring the vehicle in for service. I am ashamed to say I cannot remember the woman’s name who answered the phone because she was amazing! My service advisor was Chuck Maglothin and he couldn’t have been more amazing! Chuck greeted me immediately upon driving into the service area and knew who I was before I even introduced myself. Chuck took great care of us and had us back on the road in no time. He kept us advised on the progress of our vehicle and informed us of the diagnostic results. Chuck even informed me of a recall on my vehicle that I was not previously aware of. When we left Southern Chevrolet my husband said “THIS is how customer service should always be done!” We couldn’t be more pleased with Southern Chevrolet and Chuck.

We called on a Thursday morning to set up an appointment for the following Saturday. The car we were interested in was posted on the site, but located at another dealership. They said it was no problem and the car would be brought by Saturday. We showed up for our appointment Saturday morning - no car. The salesman said that they would send someone and it would be there in an hour. One hour passed, then two, so we asked about it. The salesman said it would be about another hour. At 3:00, still no car. We asked again. He said it was almost there. Finally by 5pm, we asked to speak to the manager. It hadn’t even left the other dealership! If they had just said to begin with that it wasn’t coming Saturday, we would have driven to the original location! They were so rude about it too! The manager just covered for the salesman instead of trying to fix the issue! This was the only day off we had to handle this and now we are without a car.

My family has dealt with this car lot a long time. I recently traded in my car for a new model. I had no issues with the purchase process it went smoothly but the car was not filled up when it was giving to me and I only received one key no spare key. Few weeks have gone by still no spare key. Also just brought the vehicle and already had to take it to get the oil changed even with the recent purchase. My salesman was great Mr. Manley but I have had better experiences.
