A very good hospital for the Joplin area and I heard a lot of good stories about them in the tornado aftermath. Their building was completely destroyed by that infamous F-5 tornado and has been rebuilt from the ground up after being demolished in 2013. The new version looks fancy and beautiful.

Wow, the convenience of a house call cannot be beat. Especially when the doc is very friendly, takes time to explain things, answers questions about a different health issue than the one I originally called for, and had one of the meds on hand. He was at my place in 2 hours, which is much faster than my regular doc could get me in. Time is money, so while this service isn't technically cheap, it is a great value when you factor in travel, waiting room time, etc. Highly recommend.

After many anxious years spent in another country’s unsafe and understaffed system, SMHC’s professionalism makes me feel incredibly grateful. We decided to have lunch at their Café downstairs and while we ate we were able to see on the screen when he was going into the Cath Lab and then going to recovery (great idea to give each patient a number so you can follow along and not have to ask a nurse every 5 minutes where they are within the process).

Absolutely the worse hospital ever, I came in here for Otalgia, ear pain, after waiting for hours, they got me in the hallway to treat me, not even a private room, the doctor who treated me did not know what he was doing at all, it was Shawn W Stepp, PA, the worse doctor ever, he had absolutely no idea of what was going on and did not give me the appropriate care I needed, I have to go to an ER but a different hospital for that worse care I ever received in my life, I even asked them for water, I was so thirsty but they did not even bring me water, I don't recommend coming to this hospital, I would give it zero care and zero for knowledge for doctors who don't even know what they are doing! My situation is now worse, I can't hear because they didn't treat me as they suppose too! Worse hospital ever!
