Excellent practice that I recommend highly, very accommodating to children. David was excellent and made my 5 year old who was nervous about his eye test feel very comfortable and excited. Lovely treat at the end made him excited for his next appointment!

Southern Opthamology After waiting an interminable time on the public waiting list for cataract surgery I opted to go private and have this urgently needed procedure done through Southern Opthamology located at Belgrave Street Kogarah. My initial appointment was on 01 March 2021 with Dr. Armand Borovik. After I explained to the doctor how much my vision had been compromised he slotted me in for surgery at Kogarah Private Hospital for 8 March. He also ordered an IOL lense specifically for my eye which was a bit of a challenge given I had lasik surgery in the mid 90's. The whole process was seamless from the initial consultation, hospital admission, the surgery itself and follow up. Southern Opthamology are a slick, very professional organisation, as is the Kogarah Private Hospital where they operate. I received a lense I would not have got through the public system and avoided another 8 months on the queue. It was explained to me exactly what I could expect from the surgery and follow up tests confirmed a very positive result. All done and dusted in less than two weeks. I would thoroughly recommend anyone seeking the best of eye care to consider Southern Opthamology. Sent from my Galaxy

This could be the worst clinic ever. We took an appointment one month ahead at 10:30 am. On the day of the appointment we got there at 10:15 and were told that we will have to wait at least one and a half hours to be seen. What is the point of taking an appointment at a specific time if that time slot will be given to someone else?

My wife took our 18 month old infant son for a referred eye appointment. They refused to allow our 9 nine old son who accompanied them, to sit in the waiting room OR EVEN STAY IN THE BUILDING whilst the consultation was to take place. In effect they refused service until our 9 year old son would leave the building entirely. The reception staff were quite obtuse and would not understand that leaving a 9 year old alone on the street is unacceptable . Even in these current Covid-19 restrictions their position and attitude was completely unreasonable. Obviously, my wife and children left the clinic without having the chance to see the doctor for our 18 month old infant's eye condition and the reception staff made no attempt to ask about his condition or discomfort level before making their insistence for our 9 year old to leave. Needless to say we will not be back and have made an appointment elsewhere with another clinic that were understanding of the need to take care of a family.
