Very poor customer service, and there's few or no pull through sites. When we arrived after the office closed in the evening, the folks in charge ignored my girlfriend and pretended she wasn't there when she went to ask about paying. The website give conflicting instructions about what to do for after hours arrivals. If they had made this more clear, we would have just reserved and paid for the site online even though it was after hours. Some of the sites are near the lake and that part is nice.

Nice campground conveniently located, beautiful lake area
I've been a long term resident here since August and have been very happy. Despite the sites being closer together than some campgrounds, it is still very quiet and peaceful here. My neighbors and the office staff are very friendly. The only downsides are limited parking and the internet is weak, at best. Great views and I safe feel.
On the plus side the campground is very convenient to downtown Knoxville and reasonably priced especially for full hook-ups. Jerri was very friendly when I booked my site. There is a good amount of shade and a wooden deck that you can step out of your camper onto. The downsides are that the campsites are very close to each other and it needed lots of fresh gravel and paving as the mud was taking over the sites and drives. You have to pay for the internet separately. My biggest issue is that it was very loud at night around my campsite. A loud pickup truck woke me up at 3am two sites down from me (about 25' away) that idled for over an hour. While I was awake for that I heard several voices talking outside.
A few of the campsites for excellent, but most were not near the water. Far too many of the others with campers here do not take care of them. Many trailers or RV's are old. All of the seasonal units are dirty and covered with grime and ancient leaf debris. The campsite is near an Airport flight path, and we saw many commercial aircraft and private aircraft landing during daylight hours. After dark, the airplane activity diminishes dramatically. The noise from them was never so loud as to cause us discomfort. The water in the adjacent river backwater is very dirty and the fish are unsafe to eat according to the Tennessee Department of Natural Resources. The owners aren't keeping up with all the potholes in the various Loops of the camp, nor with the potholes at the main entrance. The roads are not paved. Many of the campsites are angled too steeply up or down, causing challenges for leveling camper trailers and RV's. The staff were very courteous in person and on the phone. Wifi was poor in the middle of the campground near the water campsites, despite there being five Wi-Fi antennas distributed around the campground. The laundromat was clean and the Machines were connected to the internet for payment. I'd stay here again if I could get one of the few sites near the water, on the shore side of the campground. I'd recommend the campground more highly if the clientele were less prejudiced and more polite when it comes to skin color, politics, religion, etc. That's not necessarily a reflection of the owners, but of the people who feel comfortable staying here. If you are smart enough to understand the pandemic would be over in a matter of a few months if people would stay in their campers (or at home) and always wear masks over both their mouths AND noses 100% of them time when they go out for groceries, you may not be comfortable with many of your neighbors here.
