Waiting nearly 25 minutes for food that was way below par steak sandwich had little flavor and was barely warm, large New England clam chowder was watery, had 4 small pieces of potato and very little shredded pieces of clam however flavor was good, French fries were blah and mixed with old cold fries and uncooked new ones! Wife's fish taco was cold and had 1 piece of fish the size of a pinkie finger, really? The other shrimp taco was also cold, inedible and both were sent back! These items including a can of coke, glass of wine was a pricey 48 and served without table service, picnic style and also asked for salt and pepper and was waiting for the counter girl to open salt and pepper shakers to tap the solidified salt into a small plastic condiment cup and couldn't find the covers and I just said I didn't need covers anyway thanks...really? Not even packets of salt and pepper? We heard a lot about The Shack and the reviews showed some promise, however if they continue to on this path they'll be on the list of closing eateries!

Food and service were phenomenal. I always stop at sparkling pointe but decided to have lunch out here. I ordered almost everything thing and it was all good. Clam chowder, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, fish tacos, steak tacos, and chicken tacos were delicious!!!! Worth the drive to come out here!
One word to describe the food AWFUL! Ordered 3 items waited 25 minutes for food- the tiny tacos came out barely room temperature I had to get refund as I didn't feel safe eating them at that unsafe temperature. The one and only piece of fish was the size of my thumb, the soup was boiling hot and thin as water with 4 pieces of diced potatoes and a handful of tiny pieces of clay. Flavor was ok and clams tender but that's it. Steak sandwich left a lot to be desired meat was tender but cold and sparse I had to put it in microwave to eat it. Perhaps the owner should have been inside watching quality control instead of sitting outside with his friend drinking a bottle of wine. I will definitely not be returning ever!
Went here today had the grilled cheese with pulled chicken and shallot fries and my wife had vegan burger and cucumber salad. All delicious and worth the drive from anywhere. We also got the weekend special dinner but will get in few days. I have to say they are also very conscious about distancing and being sanitary so that made me very comfortable.
Good rustic farm to table type spot with occasional music outside. Some outdoor seating and a good selection of different menu options. Cool place. The specials menu by the counter should always be checked out :).
