My grandmother is in here and always complains about the care. The nurses I've spoken to have slight attitude and trying to get in touch with her is a hassle.

It is the worst place ever, the only good thing to say about the place is that it is pretty on the surface but dig a little deeper and you will see that the nurses are apathetic and the aides pretty much run the place, most of the have very bad attitudes and nothing is done about it. The Directer of Nurses seems very nice but cannot do her job effectively due to the A.D.O.N. who does absolutely nothing but socialize mainly with the NEW and YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED Administrator. She would rather listen to her little CLICK she has there than make any changes that would better effect the patients and the facility. This is why they cannot keep nurses and the nurses that have stayed complain about everything in front of whom ever is around including family members. It was the worst experience I personally ever had as a Nurse which I have been for 15 years with an exemplary record in 3 states even was voted the Nurse of the Year 2016. Before I placed my parent in the facility, I would spend a couple of days walking around and just watch, eventually you will see the tyranny that is there, they can't hold it all in for too long, then place your family member in another facility. The only reason I placed the one star is because no one can post unless I were to press at least one, even one is undeserving.

All I'm saying is this is the LAST place i would send my grandparent or loved one too for short or long term care. Nurses and CNAS leave residents in the hallways crying and screaming for help or needing to use the bathroom, but their shift is over so they could care less. There's a reason why every department is always short. Administration and supervisors care about the wrong things, and not enough about the fact they're in charge of the care of the residents for the rest of their lives. Everyone at Southpointe that has a job of authority only has it because of how long they've worked there, i doubt any of them have real credentials considering they all started their as high school drop outs. They see the residents as money makers for the company, and treat them as annoying children they're forced to babysit. The only good thing i could say is the food, but even that is going downhill. They used to make things authentically and used to care about the quality of food they produced, but now there's no more consideration or love. If a resident wants a simple omelet, it's literally frozen and microwaved because everyone is too lazy to crack and egg on a grill and flip it(hard, right?) These people have to spend their last years at this place, and to have their quality of life and their humanity become lessened significantly makes me sick. I pray no one i know has to come here, ever. I pray some real change happens to that dump. Everyone their is a phony

I loved my residents with a passion but this facility had the most rugged/bitter nurses who only cared about a paycheck and sitting on their a****. When I worked for them it was awful. All I hope is things have looked up.. either way I’ll never send a family member go this AWFUL condemning facility.

I transported my mother there and it was the most horrific experience I have ever had. I asked the nurse what the nurse to patient ratio is and he said there are 40 patients to 2 nurses, a nurse supervisor and 5 nurses aides per shift. I was told by someone who already has a relative there and witnessed that it takes 40-60 minutes for a nurse to react to the emergency call button a patient utilizes when in need. This type of care is unacceptable and something has to be done with the legislation. I would not recommend this rehab center for your family. Knowing how difficult it to have a loved one who needs the care, the staff should be empathetic to the situation and understand the optimal care these patients need. There MUST be a shorter nurse to patient ratio due to the needs of these patients. 40 MINUTES IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO NEEDS THE EMERGENCY CARE.
