Love visiting the pier every few months for a nice walk, always a lovely time whether rain or shine. Great entertainment at the end of the pier, too, arcades, food and ice cream. Worth a visit if you haven't been before!

Beautiful place to visit, pier was amazing to walk along, shame it was really windy on that day otherwise I would have loved to spend more time on the pier. This was my first time visiting Southport and I must admit I really enjoyed the place, nice and clean loads to do, the town was good with loads of shops and restaurants to go to. Will definitely be going again.
Lovely stroll to the end of the pier for a badly stocked cafe, virtually no choices of icecream and 1 toilet cubicle with a long queue. It has a lot going for it but just needs running properly.
At the end of the pier you get nice views of Liverpool bay and can see as far as Blackpool and the tower on a clear sunny day. Tip: Although many don't get to see the tide in, go online and search for Southport's daily high tide time table so as to plan your walk when it's coming in
Well worth a visit - Nice walk along to the end and you'll find a lovely cafe/bar. The added bonus is the old gaming machines, working on old pennies - it was a real trip down days of yesteryear !
