Excellent value standard pub fare. we had two dishes for 2.50 each. Nice portions. Decor has been updated since last visit. Popular with retired people and visiting tradesmen. UPDATE- Meals now priced at 3.50. Quite a jump all in one go, but still reasonable.

First time in, bar lady was lovely and friendly, made me feel very welcome and chatted. Drink was very nice to. I'll definitely be back next time I'm up this way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

To be honest I have been here before and the food has always been good standard. Some difficulty finding the place due to sign posting but if you locate the train station turn left and it's easier. You get good quality meal the price is low, would suit families as there is a children's menu. Good service and would recommend to others.

Had the best night in years!! Official opening night. Wow fabulous entertainment from Hazel Dean and Ross Alexander. The Falstaff was packed with beautiful people, don't think anymore people could have got in. Need to keep this fabulous place going I love it. Chris D Bray fabulous can't wait to see you soon.

Lovely style and decoration in this place and it seems clean, it would be good to see this place take off as it's a lovely pub. However we wouldn't visit again unless there was a different host on, the resident(?) Drag queen DJ said absolutely vulgar remarks once he found out my daughter was with her girlfriend, I thought by the look on our faces he would guess we were not impressed but no he did it again later in his set. Such a shame as otherwise we had a good night, chatted with other people in there and enjoyed our drinks

Excellent. Possibly the best Sunday roast in town. The food and a bottle of wine come at a very reasonable price. The midweek menu looks equally attractive as well. Well worth a visit.

This pub/restaurant serves really affordable food which is of a fairly good standard. Once a week the pub serves free food to children of a particular age. Not too busy so food is usually served quickly. Facilities are clean and hygienic. Has a beer garden out front to sit in the sunlight or have a cig.

Nice tidy resteraunt/pub just off the main Street, offering good cheap lunch up to 6pm. Just had Sunday lunch for 4 95, loads to eat, may be frozen food, but still very good. Loads of other meals, for less, and kids eat Sunday lunch for 3 50. Nice friendly staff, overall we enjoyed our visit, would recommend
