Came in for some pub food on a busy Sunday afternoon. Had the the windmill “famous” Sunday roast. I had lamb and my partner chicken. Both dishes were well cooked and the gravy was really tasty. It was a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Staff were thin on the floor but very attentive and strictly enforced social distancing measures.

A 30 mile round trip, for roast Sunday lunch, well worth it, for price, quality, and portions. Not quite warm enough, weatherwise, to sit in the front beer gardens, with it's beautiful flower tubs, but we will definitely be back soon!

Been coming to this pub for food every time we have a sunny day out in Southport. Over 20 years since my grandad brought me as a kid. The price for a mix grill is insanely good value for money. Burgers good Mixed grill good Scampi good Breakfast good Beer good Enjoyed the meal in the sun listening to the live act

Nipped in for a drink today, customer services was great - my other half wasn't happy with his pint, so they changed it. The second pint was still a bit odd, but we didn't complain, we just bought a bottle of beer instead. When the barman noticed that my partner wasn't drinking his pint he came over and offered a refund on the bottle, which was lovely. Would go again, the beer garden is nice.
