Amazing service on Friday I was in a bad way with a broken tooth and even though they aren’t seeing normal patients with my emergency they were unbelievable!! Thank you very much

Moved to this area recently from N W England where l was with the same practice for 20 years. This practice is excellent, l feel very relieved to have found a practice that l can trust. Many Thanks, D Touhey.

Having been with a local private practise for years and spent a lot of money there, I was a little hesitant to move to an NHS practice however I wish I had done it years ago. Not only is the service more personable but the staff here are so caring. Yes, if you don’t go, you will get struck off the list but when there is such high demand and limited places, that makes sense. The dentistry I have had done has been first class and any anxiety about treatment out to rest. I would recommend anyone to go here. Excellent, quality care and very good value. Ignire the bad reviews from people who can’t be bothered to show up to their appointments or simply don’t go.

I have been struck off the list of clients as I didn't go to an appointment. In July I had treatment and was told I could book yearly appointments. The receptionist said she would cancel all other appointments. The ! missed, appointment was in January- 6 months after my treatment. The receptionist was kurt and d said 'I always have 6 month appointments' she insisted she had given me an appointment card. Can you remember who you spoke to 6 months ago?Why would I make an appointment for 6 months when I said I was going to go yearly.? My doctors surgery send text reminders of appointments. In this day why can't Southwell dental care do this?

WARNING! When you register to this dental practice be aware that in order to stay on their books you have to make an appointment every 6 months off your own back. I just tried to make an appointment for my son and was told that he had been stuck off the books because he hadn't made an appointment for 2 years (yes, I know it's a while but if we had realised the situation we could have marked the diary for appointments accordingly). We had no warning of this and no reminders by the practice, also we weren't made aware in the first instance that this was their common practice. I just called the NHS Healthwatch people and they told me that this kind of thing was happening far too much and they were doing a survey about it and assured me I wasn't the only one in this situation. Now we are having trouble finding a dentist locally for him NHS or Private. The receptionist was a bit off too when she was delivering the information and told me 'there's no use arguing about it' even though my tone was polite albeit confused about the situation and anyone who knows me would know i'm not a ranter. Just want the present SDC patients to be aware of this. If we had been informed properly and professionally especially in this day and age of technology this wouldn't have happened.
