I just read through the reviews and am not sure why so many reviewers have had such bad luck so I thought I'd share my GOOD experience. I have made several small orders (under 1000) they've delivered to Provo with no issues whatsoever. I'd recommend them. Fair prices, good delivery, and prompt service whenever I've called in.

I work for Northwest Welding and i would have to say that i have noticed nothing but A service from PDM. On the very rare occasion that something comes with a Defect they have always come back to make it right. Jon has taken care of us on the sales and they have always gotten us our steel in a timely manner. Not sure why they have so many negative reviews. If its like us its disgruntled x employees.
They require you to buy at least 250 minimum order to even talk to you or you're not worth their time. You can't just buy the things you need like at Metal Mart.
I own a steel fabrication shop. i placed a small will call order(1000) When i got there to pick it up the price was double what i usually pay from my usual supplier, when i asked them why they told me small orders like mine were not worth there time, that they needed to pay for there 100000 sqft building. I will not be back.
Though they were the lowest price, one of the guys was a jerk. I ordered some beams to be delivered for a project and they charged 130 for delivery, which was for a semi truck and trailer. I agreed to pay this amount and paid for everything. The day of delivery a guy calledme and said that a semi truck is not allowed in a residential area. (This is not true, I have had multiple deliveries on semi trucks without issue, not to mention I have a CDL myself, so I know a delivery is okay in this situation) I told them that it was fine to bring a flatbed truck. He told me they would have to charge another 100 to do that. Nobody asked me if the address was in a residential area when I ordered. If they had, I would've used another company. I argued with the guy for 30 minutes. He asked if he thought it was fair that they do it for free. I told the guy no, I don't expect delivery for free, that's why I paid the 130 in the first place. After much discussion, he decided that they would send the semi. I would pay a little bit more elsewhere than use this company. This one employee ruined this companies reputation.
Called and spoke with Shaylor. He told me they couldn't get the pipe I needed and referred me to another company. I called that company and they told me they do not sell to contractors or to individuals. They told me if I need to get the product, I would need to buy it through PDM. I called back and was promised a quote. Still waiting. It been over a month.
I found buying structural steel tubing locally has been a hassle until I found American Tubular Products. Haven't had a problem since.
As a professional driver its worse than the 2 other guys thought. Instead of getting the product off the truck and putting it away later they pull, stock there racks bullshit along the way . So instead a 45 min job its 2. Slow is not the word for it.
