COLD!!! I got in late and actually got the last Room they had. Turn on Room heater for 2 hours and wasn't feeling any better. Call for the maintenance man he came and said there was nothing he could do. Took a hot shower and got some food from in house restaurant that was Awesome. Call front desk and gal was super concerned and looking for some options. She had another Room available that was by the pool but I needed to get up at 2:00 a.m. and pull was going to be loud and open till closing time. I told her I would stay in this Room put on some under armor and would be fine for the night. When I checked out manager at front desk took 40 off my Room. I will definitely go back as staff was super friendly in house restaurant was great and mechanical problems happen. Front desk had AA portable electric heater sent to my Room so night was not horrible. If you're in the area I recommend you stay here. Jumbo pretzel and cheese from in house restaurant is no joke. Bring a couple friends and a appetite just for this appetizer

Overall nice place Front desk staff was nice and helpful. There is a lot of amenities that you expect: pool and a exercise room. The indoor pool was heated and very big. There was some games and a pool table next to that area. The exercise room used to be an old room so it was really small. Our room was small, there’s two doors which is very weird. Bathroom was small as well. The AC system is very old, but worked effectively. This hotel definitely was not a Holiday Inn in its past life and it SHOWS. Layout is really weird and a little creepy (photos attached). Exit really doesn’t have much so we ended up eating at Applebee’s. We saw some really cute rabbits out front eating (photos attached). Clean place so 8/10
Awesome staff - Kristen the manager takes great care of our group every year. Location of hotel and Lucky Pub 13 is attached. Great place easy access to the Canyons and Dead Wood. Don’t stay in Rapid City stay out in Spearfish. Hotel staff is great. The attached restaurant - pub has great bar food. The staff is also a good time. Ernie did a great job behind the bar.
Good stay here—the breakfast vouchers to Luckys alone make it worth it. Walls seemed a little thin since I could always hear people in the hallways, but it wasn’t too bad.
Great place to stay , been staying here for over 40 years.
A little disappointed...upon check in I did not receive the room that I requested when I made my reservation - directly with the hotel.. And the hotel should have a barking dog policy.
Not following company policy. They have signs posted everywhere about employees are supposed to be wearing masks and guests as well when in public areas. None of the employees were following this with the exception of one wearing it under his chin. Maybe like a few guests following it. If a company is going to have a company policy and have it posted everywhere to keep people safe, they should follow it. Don't post it if you aren't going to follow it and we would have stayed elsewhere.
Rooms were dirty. Sheets weren’t clean and had markings on them from the previous customer, the floors obviously hadn’t been swept or vacuumed at all, lots of dirt and debris build up along baseboards and in every corner. Checked in at 11 and left at 12, stayed long enough to go buy bathroom cleaner at Walmart so I felt comfortable enough taking a shower then slept in my car, I was so upset I didn’t even try and get a refund. -10/10. Definitely do not recommend.
