Must be place. But be aware - road is for extrim lovers
There are more impressive monasteries in this part of the country, but travelers who are in the area and can make the drive or hike might consider a visit to Spitakavor if they have the extra time. There are two ways to access the monastery: a dirt road leading to a parking area and a rocky path that slopes sharply up a hill. A freshwater spring drips out from a pipe at the top of the hill just below the church.
The one of best historical church in Armenia
I recommend going up to the church through a mountain gorge. There is a trail about 6 km long, you can start around noon, it's a bit difficult way, but beautiful and interesting
I have reached this place on car, but really hard route. Even with crossover it is hard to reach. Bun on place you will be awarded. Awesome views and also very beautiful church.
